Hope for disillusioned investors

May 12, 2010 Ask most investment advisors to list the asset classes available to you and they will generally tell you that you can invest in stocks, bonds, or cash. While much of the world’s assets are invested in the public markets, enormous amounts are also placed in alternative investments, generally (and unhelpfully) defined as anything other than publicly traded stocks and bonds. They include hedge funds, debt instruments, real estate equity and mortgage funds, private equity funds and even collections of art and wine. |
